Installation instructions:

Download the update file, unzip it to a new (empty) folder and run 'SETUP.EXE'.  Make sure all programs are closed before running the update.

 

  

Addon for Word Import / Export

 

What is this Addon?

This addon can be used for:

- using Word Functions (ex. Word Spell-Checker)

- exchanging projects with translators who do not have TRANS Suite 2000.

 

The Addon saves the selected project as an RTF document, and can import this RTF document back into the original project.

 

Using the exported RTF Document for Spell-Checking

When you use this RTF Document to make use of the Word Spell-Checker, you should make sure that "hidden" text is not visible in Word.  This enables word to only check the target sentence.

 

Using the exported RTF Document for non- TRANS Suite 2000 translators

You have to make sure that "hidden" text is visible in Word. 

This enables the translator to see the source sentence too.  However, you should not make any changes to the source sentence or the "[SOURCE]xxx" or "[TARGET]xxx" tags.  Also the header must stay in its original format.

The translators should only touch the target.  This enables word to only check the target sentence.

 

The number of tags in the Target sentence must be the same as in the Source sentence.  The order of the tags should be the same too.
