External Repetitions
These are exact matches. The sentence in the Translation Memory is exactly
the same (including tags).
External 100%
When the sentence has the same "translatable" words as in the Translation
Memory, they are considered as 100%.
Non Translatable terms, formatting and number of tags could be different
External < 100%
This is what we call "fuzzy matches". The sentence found in the Translation
memory is different, but similar. The lower the percentage, the less match
there will be.
Matches above 65% are considered as "good" matches. Matches lower than
65% will have more and more differences.
Penalties
It is possible that the match is only for ex. 85% when the sentences looks the
same. This is because TRANS Suite 2000 gives the sentence a penalty when:
- number of translatable terms are different
- formatting is wrong
- when the sentence came from the Align tool/Machine Translation
- number of tags are different
- ...
You can change the penalties in the "Fuzzy Options" screen.
Internal Matches
Internal Matches are matches found within the current project. If the project
has more than 1 file, matches will be found in the other files too.
