The TRANS Suite 2000 Work Flow

 

1. The client sends a document to the translator

2. The document(s) is being pre-processed into a universal format.

3. A Dictionary Setup is being performed on the new document(s). 

4. The Dictionary Setup process retrieves only the needed words from the Dictionary database.

5. A Translation Memory Setup is being performed on the new document(s).

6. The Translation Memory Setup retrieves only the translation pairs from the Master Translation Memory database.  These translation pairs can be 

    an exact as well as a fuzzy match

7. The complete project is created.  This includes:

    • Database containing only (formatted) the text of the new document(s)

    • Database containing the layout of the new document(s)

    • Database containing all the dictionary terms found in the selected Dictionary database

    • Database containing all the translation pairs found in the selected Translation Memory Database.

    • Reference Material

    • Comment Database

8. The project is opened into the Trans Suite 2000 Editor for translation or reviewing

9. The translations are automatically saved into the Project Databases

10. You can export the translation pairs of the project to disk for Machine Translation

11. The translation pairs are send to the Machine Translation Software for translation

12. The Machine Translation software translates the pairs and saves them to disk.

13. The translated pairs can be imported into the project and will be presented to the translator when needed.

14. You can search or edit already translated pairs using the Translation Memory Editor.

15. The Translation Memory Editor reads/writes from/to the Translation Memory databases

16. You can search, edit or add terms using the Dictionary Editor.

17. The Dictionary Editor reads/writes from/to the Dictionary databases

18. The translation is finished and is now being post-processed to its original format (including layout)

19. A Translation Memory merge is being performed on the translated project

20. The Translation Memory merge-process saves the translated pairs into the Translation Memory for future re-use.

21. A Dictionary merge is being performed on the translated project

22. The Dictionary merge-process saves the terms into the Dictionary for future re-use.

23. The translated document(s) are created

24. The translated document(s) can be send to a DTP-person

25. The DTP-person send the document(s) back

26. The client receives the translated document(s)
