TRANS
Suite 2000 and Machine Translation
You
can connect Machine Translation (MT) to TRANS Suite 2000.
Almost every MT package can handle RTF files (ex. Systran).
To
be able to use MT software with TRANS Suite 2000, the software
must be able to read RTF documents using the following tags.
RTF
Tags (codes) |
\b and
\b1 |
Bold On |
\b0 |
Bold Off |
\i and
\i1 |
Italic On |
\i0 |
Italic Off |
\ul and
\ul1 |
Underlined On |
\ul0 |
Underlined Off |
\v and
\v1 |
Hidden On |
\v0 |
Hidden Off |
The
hidden tags are used to:
-
put information for TS2000 to be able to put the translated
sentences back into your translation.
-
mark TS2000 tags
The
MT software should NOT translate any text that has been marked as
hidden, but it can change the position within the context of a
sentence (TS2000 tags).
If
you are using a MT package that does not support this format, or
you are a developer of MT software, please mail to [email protected]
,and we will try to make TS2000 compatible with this package.
